Alison Sheri has been designing knitwear in Montreal since 2002, and the jumpers and cardigans are still what most customers know the label for. The range reaches further now. Trousers, jeans, dresses, tops and outerwear sit alongside the knits, all cut with the same attention to fit. Experience Boutique in Fleet, Hampshire is one of the independent UK boutiques Alison Sheri sells through.
We stock Alison Sheri because customers come back to it season after season. In the UK the label sells only through independent boutiques and never through department stores. That is deliberate on their part. Fit is what our customers mention most: cuts drawn to work across different body shapes, and sizing the brand has spent two decades refining.
Knitwear is where the range goes deepest. Mock turtle necks run through five colours, cobalt to lime green, and the round neck jumpers and cardigans repeat that colour range. Abstract prints turn up on the cowl necks. Elsewhere there are zip necks, two-tone cardigans, a textured wide neck knit, a crochet cardigan for milder days and a jumper with a tasselled hem.
Trousers and jeans are a proper part of what we buy from the label now. Pull-on styles in black and in print, herringbone and velvet for the colder end of the year, cropped jeans in coral, navy and blue. Dresses run from a knitted jumper dress to a paisley shirt dress. There are V-neck tops in three colours, a beaded top, a pleated knit midi skirt, and a small amount of outerwear including a teddy boucle long coat and a hooded raincoat in orange.
Alison Sheri started in 2002 with knitwear and grew outwards from there. The Montreal design team takes cues from both European and American fashion, and the fabrics are chosen so pieces can be washed and worn without special handling.
Sizes run from XS to 2XL depending on the style, and each product page lists the cut and the fabric. The boutique is on Fleet High Street in Hampshire if you would rather try things on, and everything here can be ordered online.
